Our IP VPN solution guarantees security and integrity of the customer data, while at the same time guaranteeing latency, packet loss and availability performance parameters amongst Points of Presence (PoP's) on the K-NET Network.
Security and packet integrity is enabled by implementing encryption of customer data before it enters the K-NET Access Network, and decryption of that data at the destination. This “tunneling” is performed either by routers or firewalls capable of IPSec DES or 3DES, and can be provided and managed by K-Net as an end to end security and access service.
We are the sole provider of this solution in Ghana today, which is provided by connecting to the K-NET’s International Multi Platform Label Switching (MPLS) network, all of your sites and remote workers are worked into a single company-wide communications network. Voice, multimedia: MPLS supports and carries them all. The key to this lies in its Class-of-Service (CoS) differentiation.
What this means is that the network can distinguish between high priority traffic (such as ERP applications, voice and multimedia) and non-time sensitive traffic such as email. It can then prioritize the right traffic in line with your requirements, ensuring your mission-critical data applications receive optimal service at all times irrespective of the growth of competing, lower priority traffic.

K-NET owns its own Ku-Band and C-Band Teleport and iDirect VSAT hub. It is a domestic hub located on McCarthy Hill, Accra. From there we can deliver IP services to the entire African region via Satellite. At the teleport we are connected to SAT3 Fiber for Internet and we are connected to the K-NET MPLS backbone for high-speed terrestrial service via DSL or Broadband Wireless.
